PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric tool capable of preventing failures of an electronic component such as erroneous fusion of a fuse, and free from problems such as torque restriction, an increase in a size of a battery pack, a need to add components for temperature detection.SOLUTION: An electric tool comprises: a current detector 25 sampling a current value supplied to a motor 23 at predetermined intervals; an arithmetic processing unit 31 calculating a determination value using the current value sampled by the current detector 25 and passing time since the current detector 25 starts sampling; a comparison processing unit 32 comparing the determination value calculated by the arithmetic processing unit 31 with a predetermined threshold to determine whether it is necessary to perform a cooling process; and a cooling processing unit 33 invalidating operation of a switch 22 for given time and executing the cooling process if the comparison processing unit 32 determines that it is necessary to perform the cooling process. |
