<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for water purification which use a biological technique and can purify water quickly through a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A water purifier adsorbs and removes hardly decomposable matter in a to-be-treated water by using peat moss 15 containing white rot bacteria in a wet and aerobic environment, and the hardly decomposable matter adsorbed is decomposed with degrading enzymes produced by the white rot bacteria. The water purifier includes the peat moss 15 containing the white rot bacteria, a container 21 capable of housing the peat moss 15 in the wet and aerobic state and a siphon 39 serving as environment formation means of keeping the peat moss 15 housed in the container 21 in the wet and aerobic state. A tidal state is formed by the siphon 39 in the container 21, and the peat moss 15 is thereby put into the wet and aerobic state.</p> |
