<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified metal oxide nanoparticle which has excellent compatibility with a resin composition and can suppress the occurrence of poor appearance and the deterioration of mechanical strength even after long-term storage, and to provide a water and oil repellant and a flame retardant containing the modified metal oxide nanoparticles.SOLUTION: A modified metal oxide nanoparticle is modified by a functional group represented by the following formula (1): CF-X-R-Y-Si(CH)(-O-)(1) (where m is an integer of 1-12; Xis a single bond, -S-, -SO-, -SO-, -CHCHS-, -CHCHSO-, or -CHCHSO-; Ris an alkylene group having 1-10 carbon atoms, a phenylene group, or a phenyleneoxymethylene phenylene group; Yis a single bond, -OCONH(CH)-, NHCONH(CH)-, -OCO(CH)S(CH)-, -OCO(CH)SO(CH)- or the like; and n represents 0 or 1).</p> |
