<p>In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a notification identifying the occurrence of a user-initiated event associated with a software application that complies with the specifications of a software development kit. The user is identified based at least in part on the information included the notification. The method includes determining whether the event is attributable to an electronic advertisement, and when the event is attributable to the advertisement, the method include determining whether the electronic advertisement is associated with information identifying the advertisement or an advertising campaign that the advertisement is a part of. When the electronic advertisement is associated with the information, the method includes notifying an advertiser associated with the electronic advertisement or a developer associated with the software application that the information identifying the advertisement is associated with the event.</p> |
