PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress contact of a driving mechanism of a step with a fuel tank when a vehicle is subjected to impact load from the lateral side.SOLUTION: The outside end of the vehicle width direction of a floor panel 9 is connected with the upper part of a side sill 11 which extends in a vehicle longitudinal direction. At the lower inside of the side sill 11 at the position corresponding to the door opening part of a sliding door 5, a driving mechanism 31, which drives a step plate 1 so as to movably displace to a projecting state (usage state) and a storage state (non-usage state) is provided. In the driving mechanism 31, the vehicle width direction outer side is connected to the lower portion of the side sill 11, and the upper portion is connected to a floor member 29 through an upper bracket 39. When the vehicle is subjected to impact load from the lateral side, due to deformation of the floor panel 9, the side sill 11, in which the upper part thereof moves inward and the lower part moves outward relatively to the upper part, moves upward while rotating, and accordingly the driving mechanism 31 also rotates in the same direction. |
