PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main spindle device which controls a flow rate of a fluid supplied to a fluid bearing that rotatably supports a main spindle, to inhibit vibration of the main spindle while inhibiting heat generation of the fluid and loss of power for rotationally driving the main spindle, and is used in a machine tool.SOLUTION: A main spindle device 1 includes: a damping addition bearing 50 which receives a supplied fluid to thereby inhibit vibration of a main spindle 20; a fluid supply device 60 which supplies the fluid to the damping addition bearing 50 and may adjust a flow rate Q of the fluid; a vibration detection sensor 70 which detects the vibration of the main spindle 20; and a control device 80 which adjusts the flow rate Q of the fluid supplied by the fluid supply device 60 according the magnitude of the vibration which is detected by the vibration detection sensor 70. |
