This information processing device is provided with: an image acquisition unit that acquires a captured image that captures a watched subject whose behavior is watched and a subject that is the baseline of the behavior of the watched subject, the captured image containing depth information indicating depth obtained for each pixel within the captured image; a foreground extraction unit that extracts the foreground region of the captured image from the difference between the captured image and a background image that, as the background of the captured image, is set including the depth of the background; and a behavior inference unit that refers to the depth of the pixels in the foreground region on the basis of the depth information, determines whether or not the positional relationship in the actual space between the foreground region and the region of the subject satisfies conditions set supposing that the extracted foreground region relates to the behavior of the watched subject, and thereby infers behavior that is of the watched subject and that pertains to the subject.
