PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal and a mail reading out method which can read out contents included in image data attached in an email with a speech voice. SOLUTION: A communication terminal 10 comprises: a communication unit 26 for receiving emails with attached image data; a reading out data creation unit 22a for analyzing the image data attached in the email received by the communication unit 26 and creating image reading out data 24f for reading out an object included in the image data with a speech voice; and a speech voice reading out unit 22b for reading out the image reading out data 24f created by the reading out data creation unit 22a with the speech voice.
