<p>The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for handling a fault and includes a fault determination unit using a transaction volume per financial transaction channel and a time duration per transaction to determine whether a fault has occurred; a location tracking unit receiving location information from a plurality of operator terminals to tract the location of each operator terminal; and a fault notifying unit transmitting fault information to an operator terminal located at the closest place among the plurality of operator terminals based on the location information received through the location tracking unit, when as a result of determination by the fault determination unit, a fault has occurred. According to the present invention, by providing the method and apparatus for handling fault that transmit fault information to the operator present in the closest place among a plurality of operators when the fault has occurred, it is possible to immediately cope with the fault and thus correct the fault rapidly when the fault occurs.</p> |
