BRAKE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A BRAKE SYSTEM

A brake system of a motor vehicle has at least one disc or hub brake in which at least one brake lining can be mounted and which can be actuated by a control unit, wherein the brake lining has a data carrier with an electronic key stored thereon and the control unit has control modules for executing a braking process, the control unit having one or more control modules which can be activated by the electronic key provided on the at least one brake lining. A method for controlling a brake system of a motor vehicle is also described.
