An optical disk testing device and an optical disk testing method used for indentifying copy protection and physical defect of an optical disk. The method comprises the steps of: judging whether a defect exists or not according to a replay error of the optical disk (10) during data replaying; detecting whether a replay error also occurs in an L1 at the same radius position through a system controller (32) when the replay error occurs in an L0 of a double-layer optical disk; making a determination of copy protection when the replay error does not occur in the L1; and making a determination of physical defect when the replay error also occurs in the L1. |
