Heparin-insensitive method for determination of direct clotting factor inhibitors

Determining a direct inhibition of a clotting factor in a sample, comprises (a) mixing the sample with an oxidizing agent to form a reaction mixture, (b) incubating the reaction mixture, (c) mixing the reaction mixture with an oxidizing agent and the neutralizing agent, (d) adding a defined amount of activated clotting factor to the reaction mixture, and (e) determining the inhibition of the added activated clotting factor.
