The aim is achieved by proposing that an automated, electronically controlled or regulated routine is provided for seat grinding the friction partners of the friction brake, such that the automated seat grinding routine is fully executed after a release, particularly after entering a release code or after electronically connecting an interface of the electronic control device ESP+ESC-ECU of the braking system to a separate control device EST, and the results data of the seat grinding routine are stored in a memory area of the electronic control device ESP+ESC-ECU.
