摘要 357,182. Cupping. FITZPATRICK, H. D., 94, Hope Street, Glasgow.-(Marquette Tool & Manufacturing Co. ; 1900, North Kilbourn Avenue, Chicago, U.S.A.) June 18, 1930, No. 18568. [Class 83 (iv).] In a cushioning device for sheet metal cupping- presses, a pair of cam - actuated valves connect a cushioning and diereturning cylinder alternately to pressure and to exhaust. A die member 18, Fig. 1, is supported on pins 19 bearing on a pressure pad 20 supported by piston rods 32. On the downstroke of the press fluid pressure is admitted beneath the pistons 26, 27 through pipes 36, while pipes 47 are open to atmosphere. At the end of the stroke pipes 47 are opened to the source of fluid pressure so that the pistons remain stationary, and then again opened to exhaust to permit the pistons together with the die members 18 to rise. This sequence is effected by valves 59, 60 actuated through a rocker 65-by cams 70, 71 carried adjustably on a rotating member 72, the rocker being retained in either position by a resiliently held abutment member 77.
