[Classes 81 (i) and 81 (ii).] A syringe-like appliance for injecting pulverulent or pasty material, particularly for applying paraformaldehyde to a tooth socket after extraction of a tooth, comprises a barrel 1, a rigid piston-rod 4 working therein against the action of a spring 6 and having secured thereto a flexible extension 7, which passes through a curved nozzle 12 and bears against, but is not attached to, a rigid piston 16 closing one end of a flanged tubular container 15 detachably connected to the nozzle 12 bv a ferrule 8. The ferrule 8 is secured to the nozzle 12 by a bayonet joint. The containers 15 are supplied ready charged with the medicament, the end remote from the piston being closed by a cap which is removed before use. |
