<p>The present invention relates to an automatic power shut-off system and a method of operating the same. To this end, the present invention provides an automatic standby power shut-off system including a sensing unit (40) installed around a personal computer (10) to sense existence of a PC operator; and a standby power shut-off unit (30) mutually connected to the PC (10), the sensing unit (40), and a multi-socket (20), and to control the power of the PC while automatically shutting off substantial standby power from the PC and peripheral devices (e.g., monitor, printer, MODEM, speaker, and multi-socket) thereof without work loss. As described above, according to the present invention, the standby power can be substantially automatically shut off from the PC and the peripheral devices without work loss using the sensing unit (human body detector sensor). Accordingly, the quality and the reliability of a product can be remarkably improved, so that various demands (needs) of consumers, which are users, are satisfied, so that a good image can be obtained.</p> |
