PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply device for an internal combustion engine, the device which is capable of suppressing variation in fuel pressure, even when a passage connecting a low pressure fuel pump and a high pressure fuel pump is heated.SOLUTION: In this fuel supply device 10, wherein a high pressure fuel pump 14 is mounted to an engine body 2, a low pressure passage 16 connecting a low pressure feed pump 13 and a high pressure fuel pump 14 is arranged at an engine compartment, and wherein the fuel discharged from the low pressure feed pump 13 is pressurized by the high pressure fuel pump 14 to feed it to a fuel injection valve 11, reduction processing for reducing the discharge pressure of the low pressure feed pump 13 by each predetermined reduction amount is executed. When an intake temperature of the internal combustion engine 1 is higher than a temperature of cooling water of the internal combustion engine 2, the reduction of the discharge pressure of the low pressure feed pump 13 is limited. |
