<p>According to the subject matter of the invention, a process for inserting a plastics body into an opening of a sensor housing is provided, wherein the opening has a side surface with an edge, in which a collar-like bead is formed on the edge and a shoulder-like protrusion for supporting the plastics body is formed on the side surface, a strip-like seal is incorporated on the protrusion before the plastics body is placed thereon, the plastics body is placed onto the protrusion of the side surface in such a manner that a side surface of the plastics body is arranged alongside the side surface of the sensor housing such that they impact against one another, and a form-fitting, elastically supported bond is produced by means of deformation between at least one part of the side surface of the sensor housing and a part of the side surface of the plastics body, such as to form a substantially jointless and substantially step-free transition between the sensor housing and the plastics body at the bonding site on the top side of the sensor housing and of the plastics body.</p> |
