<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a subject image whose composition is the most suitable for intention of a photographer. <P>SOLUTION: On a display 31, a composition frame set by a composition frame set part 21 is displayed while being superposed on a subject image. A comparison determination part 23 compares the composition frame with a major subject image among the subject image to determine a relative positional relation and a relative size relation of the both. When the relative positional relation between the composition frame and major subject image is determined to be within a prescribed range, a zoom control part 24 controls so that a zoom lens of a photographic lens 11 performs a zooming action of a predetermined zoom amount.
