PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open showcase that can perform a specific sales restriction or the like on specific merchandise with a simple structure smoothly and strictly while the merchandise remains displayed on a shelf. SOLUTION: The open showcase 1 comprises a plurality of shelves 3 for merchandise display in a display chamber 9 opening at the front and a deck pan 5 and includes: a rack post 17 provided in both back surface sides of the display chamber for installing the shelves; a cover 50 detachably mounted at a front part of the shelves for closing a front of a space on the shelves so as at least not to allow to take out the merchandise; a plurality of arm members 56, wherein the rear parts are each engaged with the rack post and the front parts are each connected to both sides of the cover; and a locking implement 57 for locking the connection between each arm member and the cover.
