PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image diagnosis apparatus that calculates a guide route from a current position of a catheter to an emboli site, and performs a mapping display of the guide route on a diagnosis image. SOLUTION: The medical image diagnosis apparatus includes: an extraction unit for extracting a contrast image of a vascular territory of the same imaging part from images of a subject photographed at the imaging part before and after a treatment for vascular stenosis is treated; an emboli site specification unit for acquiring the difference image between the first and second images extracted before and after the treatment, and specifying the emboli site of the blood vessel of the subject; a catheter position specification unit for specifying a current position of the catheter; a guide route calculation unit for calculating a route along the blood vessel from the current position of the catheter to the emboli site; a mapping unit for mapping the guide route on a diagnosis image including the emboli site; and display unit for displaying the diagnosis image where the guide route is mapped.
