A method for portable lottery ticket sales and redemptions by mobile vendors, the method comprising acts of:
providing a mobile vendor with a portable local processor having a memory, and with a local printer connected either physically or via wireless network to the local processor;
configuring the local processor in wireless communication with a lottery central site via a network;
via the local processor, initiating transfer of lottery data from a lottery ticket to be sold by the vendor or presented to the vendor for redemption to the lottery central site; and
logging the transferred lottery data on a database at the central site.
