A cabinet alarm is adapted to distinguish the sounds and forces of a genuine malicious attack on a cabinet formal normal environmental forces and sounds to which the cabinet is routinely subjected. The alarm comprises sensors to detect these noises, forces, temperatures, and rate of temperature change. Specific sensors detect noise transmitted through different pathways are indicative of specific types of attack. These specific sensors are attached to specific parts of the cabinet in specific locations that make each specific sensor particularly sensitive to a particular type of noise. Certain sensors are arranged to detect forces and change in forces between the cabinet and a base which supports the cabinet. Temperature sensors detect the temperature of the air inside the air cabinet and rate of change of air inside the cabinet. Certain combinations of physical events in a particular order are indicative of a genuine malicious attack. |
