[Class 132 (ii).] A substitute for a hole for use in practising putting comprises a truncated cone 1 that has its base edge adapted for resting on the ground or floor and is provided with an aperture 2, the edges 3 of which permit the entry of a ball over a base line or track substantially corresponding to the narrowest width of the opening. The device may be moved by means of a rod or flag pole 9 removably attached to a wireframe 6 extending across the upper part of the cone. Balls entering the cone at too great a speed pass over a wire guard 5, Fig. 2, or over a ramp 11 to the outside of the cone.</p> |
