PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for connecting a building material which simplifies and rationalizes a construction method and the like. SOLUTION: A structure for connecting a building material includes a column material (20) which is constituted by joining an H-shaped cross-section member (21) and a T-shaped cross-section column member (22) together, and a beam material (30) which is connected to the column material (20) via connecting means (4). The H-shaped cross-section column member (21) comprises a pair of opposed plate portions (211, 212) facing each other, and a connecting plate portion (213) for connecting the opposed plate portions (211, 212) together. The T-shaped cross-section column member (22) comprises a base end plate portion (221) which is joined to the connecting plate portion (213) of the column member (21), and a leading end plate portion (222).
