The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for detecting a phishing site by image comparison. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for detecting a phishing site comprises the steps of: loading phishing detection standard information for detecting a phishing site; extracting information on images to be compared from a site to be detected based on the phishing detection standard information; comparing the extracted information on images to be compared with information on reference images of a protection site included in the phishing detection standard information; and warning of the result of the phishing site detection when the site to be detected is determined as a suspicious phishing site depending on the result of the comparison. Therefore, a phishing site may be detected and access thereto may be prevented without cooperation with a host managing a site to be detected, and access to a phishing site may be detected or prevented even by independent processing of a communication terminal device using a site to be detected. |
