<p>A container body (1) which is formed from a folded blank (6), the container body having a base 8 and a peripheral wall 10 that extends from the base to a rim. The rim has a flange 20 to which a lid (4) can be secured over the surface of the flange to close the container body. The flange is a two-part or double flange, being first folded inwardly from the rim and folded 180 degrees back over to form the two part flange. The lid may be an integral heat sealed film or sheet. The flange may extend around the entire rim of the container. The container may be generally rectangular. The container may be used to package food.</p> |
