A dialysis system (100, 100a, 100b, 100c, 100d) is described comprising a dialysis machine (10); and at least one of a patient weight sensor (WS) and a blood pressure sensor (BP) in wireless communication with the dialysis machine. The dialysis machine is a wireless slave to the at least one of the wireless master weight sensor and the blood pressure sensor such that the dialysis machine is discoverable by the at least one sensor when either the at least one sensor is powered.
