PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveguide type optical interferometer circuit which is strong against manufacturing errors. SOLUTION: In the waveguide type optical interferometer circuit where respectively independent waveguide type optical switches are cascade connected in at least two stages, the input of each stage of the waveguide type optical switch is connected to one output among outputs from one optical switch in the preceding stage, the waveguide type optical switch is a Mach-Zehnder interferometer having two arm waveguides with a desired optical path length difference and is an interferometer type optical switch provided with a phase shifter in at least one of the arm waveguides, and one arm waveguide, having a longer optical path length, in at least two stages of the waveguide type optical switches and the other arm waveguide, having a shorter optical path length, in at least two stages of the waveguide type optical switches are disposed in opposite directions with respect to a center line drawn from the input side to the output side of each waveguide type optical switch.
