A discharge device is provided that can prevent cutting of a discharge member, and allows both a reduction in thickness and an improvement in assemblability. Thus, the discharge device includes a discharge electrode and a counter electrode facing each other, and the discharge electrode includes a discharge member facing the counter electrode, a loop-like terminal mounted to an end of the discharge member in a longitudinal direction, and a tube having an electrically insulating property and covering a mounting portion between an end of the discharge member and the terminal.
