The composition for preventing, alleviating, or treating atherosclerosis according to the present invention has an effect of reducing intravascular C-reactive protein (CRP), an effect of suppressing the thickening of intravascular smooth muscles and the abnormal enlargement of endotheliocytes, an effect of reducing vascular cell adhesion molecule (VCAM), intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1), and E-selectin in blood vessels, and an effect of increasing intravascular peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma (PPAR-gamma).</p> |
