PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic observation device and the like that can easily visualize an observation object located at a narrow part with ultrasonic waves, while maintaining the quality of ultrasonic images.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic single sensor 101A for transmission includes a single piezoelectric element, and transmits ultrasonic waves on the basis of pulse waves. An ultrasonic array sensor 101B for reception is constituted of a plurality of piezoelectric elements, and receives reflection waves of the ultrasonic waves. A pulsar unit 102A supplies pulse waves to the ultrasonic single sensor 101A for transmission. A receiver unit 102B receives electrical signals supplied from the piezoelectric elements constituting the ultrasonic array sensor 101B for reception. An amplification and conversion unit 102D amplifies the electrical signals of each of the piezoelectric elements constituting the ultrasonic array sensor 101B for reception and converts the electrical signals into digital signals, and arranges the digital signals in serial to create serial digital signals. An image forming unit 103A forms images on the basis of the serial digital signals.
