PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaping device capable of enhancing recognition performance while maintaining robustness of recognition.SOLUTION: The shaping device according to the embodiment includes: an acquisition part; a setting part; a shaping part; and a display control part. The acquisition part acquires a group of strokes hand-written by a user. The setting part sets a first region in which the existence of a stroke is not expected and a second region in which the existence of the stroke is expected when the group of the strokes constitutes a diagram of a specified category within a circumscribing rectangle that circumscribes the stroke group. The shaping part shapes the stroke group to the diagram of the specified category when a first feature quantity representing occupation in the first region of the stroke group and a second feature quantity representing the occupation in the second region of the stroke group satisfy a specified condition. The display control part allows a shaping result to be displayed on a display part. |
