<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that makes it possible to reduce noise, affected by, for example, an actuator, without affecting a frame rate.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: a pixel part in which a plurality of pixels for photoelectric conversion are arranged in a matrix; a pixel signal reading section including the function of reading, from the pixel part to a signal line, the reset level of each pixel and a signal level; and a timing control section that controls the reading timing of the pixel signal reading section. The pixel signal reading section comprises: a solid imager having a parallel line type ADC (Analog Digital Converter) section, by which an analog signal read so as to correspond to the array of pixels is converted into a digital signal; timing altering means for altering the reading timing of the pixel signal reading section; and storage means that stores the frequency information of noise generated during the operation of the pixel signal reading section. According to the noise frequency information, the reading timing of the pixel signal reading section and the resolution (the number of bits) of the AD conversion are determined.</p> |
