In a plurality of predetermined phase difference detection pixels among the phase difference detection pixels, the on-chip lens is formed with a deviation amount different from an exit pupil compensation amount corresponding to the arrangement of the predetermined phase difference detection pixels. The present technique can be applied, for example, to a CMOS image sensor.
