PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration type actuator that makes resonance of a driven member, which contacts with a vibrator, less likely to occur, suppresses unnecessary vibrations, and achieves high output and low noise.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic motor 1 includes: a vibrator 11; and a friction member (a driven member ) 31 which contacts with a contact part 11c of the vibrator 11. The friction member 31 is moved relative to the vibrator 11 by driving a piezoelectric element 11a. A holding member 41 holds the friction member 31. A base member 51 supports the holding member 41 so that the holding part 41 may move along a driving direction (x direction). The friction member 31 includes: slit parts 31b; and fixing parts 31c1 to 3 for attachment. Respective regions divided in the friction member 31 by the slit parts 31b are fixed to the holding member 41 through the fixing parts 31c1 to 3. |
