PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system and image forming method with which leakage of confidential information can be prevented and image forming processing can be smoothly executed so as not to cause inconvenience to a user, even when an image forming apparatus other than one at an office where the user works is used.SOLUTION: In an image forming system connecting a portable terminal device as a terminal device and a server via a network, and connecting the portable terminal device and a compound machine via the network, the portable terminal device transmits user information on a user using the portable terminal device to the server to request authentication as to whether or not the user is a registered user, determines whether or not to permit the connection between the portable terminal device and the compound machine, and requests the server to transmit screen information to be displayed on the compound machine; and the server authenticates as to whether or not the user of the portable terminal device is the registered user, and creates screen information to be displayed on the compound machine in a predetermined document format. |
