PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar system that omits processing of stopping the tracking a target requiring no tracking while automatically capturing and tracking a required target.SOLUTION: The rader system includes an extraction unit, a representative point storage unit, a prediction unit, a determination unit, and a capturing/tracking unit. The extraction unit extracts the representative point of a target from a radar echo. The representative point storage unit stores the representative point extracted by the extraction unit for a plurality of scans. On the basis of the information stored in the representative point storage unit, the prediction unit predicts motion information of the target indicated by the representative point. On the basis of the motion information of the target predicted by the prediction unit, the determination unit determines the possibility of collision with the own ship. The capturing/tracking unit captures and tracks the target that is determined to have the possibility of collision with the own ship by the determination unit. |
