According to an embodiment of the present invention, the relay node to restore a wireless sensor network partitioned into multiple groups comprises: a measurement unit for measuring the intensity of a signal transmitted by at least one wireless node included in the multiple groups and the direction of the signal; a calculation unit for estimating the number of wireless nodes included in the multiple groups using the direction of the signal and the intensity of the signal, and generating probability information corresponding to each of the multiple groups using the estimated number; and a control unit for measuring a first distance between wireless nodes included in a group corresponding to probability information selected according to a predetermined standard, and connecting the wireless nodes included in the group to the relay node according to the first distance.
