PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a misfire detection device of an internal combustion engine which can suppress the deterioration of the determination accuracy of a misfire at an ignition delay of the internal combustion engine which is mounted to a hybrid vehicle.SOLUTION: This misfire detection device calculates, at each prescribed crank angle, a difference between combustion-time engine torque Te at the combustion of an internal combustion engine and expansion torque Te1 equivalent to non-combustion time torque when the internal combustion engine is not combusted and rotates (S6) when the internal combustion engine is delayed in ignition (S4), calculates a shift amount &bgr; in which a total value of differences in a misfire determination zone A (S9), and shifts the misfire determination zone A by the shift amount &bgr; (S10). |
