<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching regulator that allows reducing consumption power occurring at a sense resistor regardless of variation in a load.SOLUTION: A regulator 10 has two switches 11 and 12 having different current capacity. The regulator 10 has a sense resistor Rs detecting a load current Iout of a load circuit connected to an output terminal OUT, and a control circuit 13 changes the switches 11 and 12 to be driven according to an inter-terminal voltage Vrs of the sense resistor Rs. The sense resistor Rs is connected to a clamping circuit 20, and the inter-terminal voltage Vrs is clamped to a reference potential Vclmp by the clamping circuit 20.</p> |
