PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing an olefin manufacturing catalyst capable of manufacturing, stably over an extended period in a high yield from an alcohol provided as a raw ingredient, an olefin having a carbon atom number greater by at least one than that of the alcohol; an olefin manufacturing catalyst; and a method for manufacturing an olefin.SOLUTION: The provided method for preparing an olefin manufacturing catalyst is a method for manufacturing a catalyst used for manufacturing, from an alcohol, an olefin having a carbon atom number greater by at least one than that of the alcohol wherein a precipitate is formed by adding, to an aqueous solution including an indium salt, an aqueous base solution and an aqueous quaternary ammonium salt solution and wherein the precipitate obtained by aging the resulting suspension is filtered/recovered, cleaned, and baked; and an olefin manufacturing catalyst manufactured by the manufacturing method and an olefin manufacturing method using the catalyst are also provided. |
