<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an ESD protection method in which discharge electrode gap is prevented from being enlarged.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the ESD protection device includes each of steps of: preparing an unbaked ceramic laminate in which a discharge electrode paste 10 containing a first metal is disposed and a metallic paste 11 containing a second metal for being alloyed with the first metal to form an alloy so as to contact with a part of the discharge electrode paste 10; heating the first metal and the second metal to be alloyed; and forming a first and second discharge electrodes 3 and 4, which are separated by a gap G, by baking the unbaked ceramic laminate to obtain a ceramic multilayer substrate and melting the alloy to cause the melted ally to be drawn to discharge electrode parts on both sides, in which a melting point of the alloy is lower than a melting point of the first metal to be a main component of the discharge electrode and is lower than the baking temperature when performing ceramic baking.</p> |
