PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism which can efficiently recommend a component part suitable for a golfer.SOLUTION: A selection support device comprises: characteristic data acquisition means acquiring several kinds of characteristic data indicating a swing characteristic of a trial person on the basis of a result of a trial shot with a golf club; operation means calculating each recommended value of the trial person about several kinds of property values characterizing a component part of a golf club on the basis of the several kinds of characteristic data; and selecting means selecting a recommended component part from component parts included in the part information on the basis of each recommended value and part information indicating a correspondence between the component part and the several kinds of property values.
