PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus enabled to improve a usage efficiency of a character image in a font cache.SOLUTION: A font control part 201a performs: extracting a character code from printable data transmitted to a PC 100; extracting language zone information from a language zone information registration table 203a; and extracting character code data of a language zone font cache storage availability character code area 203b-t from a font cache storage availability determination table 203b on the basis of the language zone information. A font cache control part 201b performs: converting the character code into a character image using a font rasterizer part 201c if the character image of the character code is not stored in a font cache storage area 202a; or storing a character image of the character code in the font cache storage area 202a if the character code of the character image exists in the character code data. |
