PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human body detection sensor with less erroneous detection and improved detection performance, and an automatic faucet.SOLUTION: A human body detection sensor 1 includes: range-finding determination means 321 for determining whether or not a distance to a detection object is within a range of a predetermined detection distance; and specular reflection determination means 322 for determining whether or not reflection light is specular reflection light. The specular reflection determination means 322 executes threshold value determination relating to the number of pixels or a pixel ratio exhibiting a light receiving amount equal to or more than a predetermined ratio to the maximum light receiving amount among the light receiving amount of the reflection light, and determines that the reflection light is the specular reflection light when the number of pixels or the pixel ratio is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold value. |
