PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot-melt adhesive coating device and a coating method of a hot-melt adhesive which can stably coat with the hot-melt adhesive by preventing occurrence of defects.SOLUTION: A hot-melt adhesive coating device 10 includes: (a) a pattern roll 16 having a letterpress on an outer circumference; (b) a pressure roll 18 which is arranged adjacent to the pattern roll 16 and on which a band-like coated material 72 is conveyed along its outer circumference surface; (c) a hot-melt adhesive supply part 11 which coats the letterpress of the pattern roll 16 with a molten hot-melt adhesive 5a; (d) heating and heat-retaining means 40 which heats or heat-retains the hot-melt adhesive 5b coated on the letterpress of the pattern roll 16 by the hot-melt adhesive supply part 11.
