PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute, even in cases where materials generally requiring high degrees of printing difficulty such as foodstuffs, etc. are targeted for printing, a laser printing operation excellent in terms of post-print visibility, decorativeness, and cost and having a high degree of freedom enabling instantaneous changes of printing contents.SOLUTION: The provided manufacturing method of a printed article based on the irradiation thereof with a laser beam includes a base layer formation step of forming, as a base layer on the surface of a printing target 10 consisting of a foodstuff, an edible film 3 including a material discolored as a result of laser irradiation, an irradiation intensity setting step of setting the intensity of the laser irradiation by a laser irradiation unit 12 leastwise at either of a first level of intensity inducing the discoloration of the edible film 3 and a second level of intensity inducing the removal of the edible film 3, and a laser irradiation step of prompting the laser irradiation unit 12 to irradiate a laser beam onto the edible film 3 at the intensity set at the irradiation intensity setting step. |
