<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber support member capable of accurately reflecting light which propagates through an optical fiber while suppressing an increase in costs, a method for manufacturing an optical fiber support member, and an optical module.SOLUTION: An optical fiber support member 2 is made from a Si single crystal, and supports an optical fiber 5 optically coupled to a photoelectric conversion element. The optical fiber support member 2 includes: groove-shaped support parts 21, 22 and 23 for supporting an end part of the optical fiber; a main surface inclined with respect to a (100) surface of the Si single crystal; and a reflection surface 2a for reflecting light which propagates through the optical fiber, and formed of a (111) surface of the Si single crystal. The reflection surface 2a is inclined with respect to the main surface so that the reflected light is made incident in a core 51 of the optical fiber or the photoelectric conversion element 41.</p> |
