PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an urgent evacuation method for tenants using an elevator in a social welfare institution or the like that allows all of bedridden tenants and wheel-chaired tenants to be transferred into the elevator efficiently and to be carried to a rooftop reliably in short time for evacuation, when a tsunami or a flood occurs.SOLUTION: The urgent evacuation method comprises providing an elevator E along an emergency staircase H in advance, transferring bedridden tenants B and wheel-chaired tenants K into each of multistage floors 21, 22 of an elevator basket 2 simultaneously at each building floor, pulling up and stopping the elevator E by one or a half floor height portion, carrying out the bedridden tenants B and the wheel-chaired tenants K sequentially from an upper floor onto a rooftop O for evacuation. As alternative pulling-up means of the elevator basket 2, a man-powered pulling-up structure can be used for the urgent evacuation method. |
